NalandaWay works with children from challenging situations from the poorest |districts around the country, helping them raise their voices and issues through theatre, visual arts, music, dance, radio and films. Over 5700 disadvantaged
children and young people in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar; and
Jammu & Kashmir have participated in our workshops. These workshops have
helped them learn creativity, life skills and self-confidence to create the lives that they truly want to create.

The communal violence in Gujarat in early 2002 where more than 2000 people including women and children where brutally murdered, set us thinking to find a solution for the lack of tolerance and violence in our society. Children living in conflict prone neighbourhoods are the most affected.

We help bright talented children from discriminated, marginalized low-income urban and rural slum dwellings find adult mentors, provide support to build a trusting relationship, nurture their special talents, use arts and media to rehabilitate and create avenues to express themselves publicly on vital issues that affect them.
