One day in the life of a perky young girl who is infected with HIV.
The girl though mischievous is smart and independent. In one of the
normal physical education classes she has a fall and starts to bleed.
The PT teacher comes to her help, but she refuses his help and tells
him that she is HIV positive. The teacher though initially rubbishes
it as one of her many, pranks is shattered when she shows her medical
records. He is in utter disbelief and is afraid that he may have
contracted the disease due to his proximity with the child. He
exhibits the typical stereotypes of how ordinary people would deal
when in a similar situation. The story ends in an anti climax when he
realises that the entire school including children are aware of the
child's disease and don't consider it a problem. In the end his
ignorance and insensitivity is ridiculed. |
